The Warren Buffett Portfolio
This book looks at the mathematics, the psychology, and the mental models necessary to build a successful portfolio. The basic ideas: Pick no more than 10 to 15 companies with good track records and high probabilities of future success; plan to hang onto them for at least five years; and ignore predictions and the sometimes terrifying swings in market behavior.

This easy read provides some timeless advice on acquiring money, keeping money, and making money earn more money. 
Six Sigma, The Breakthrough Management Strategy Revolutionizing The World's Top Corporations
At the heart of Six Sigma is the notion that quality saves money--lots of money.   The authors argue that for most companies "the cost of quality is roughly 25 to 40 percent of sales revenue ... at six sigma the cost of quality declines to less than one percent of sales revenue."   Six Sigma is a compelling concept that many companies have tied their futures to.  
 
The Millionaire Next Door
The Millionaire Next Door is an informative review of what it takes to obtain and keep wealth.  When it comes to financial matters, the authors do a great job of separating myth from reality.
